Today I went to pick up at UPS the Dome Base Plate!!! This is a JAG's run made in aluminum. I also drilled the holes in the rockler bearing to fit the base plate. Next step is to build the brackets for the Pittman motor and sand again the rockler bearing.

Resin parts arrived!
Today I received a few resin parts from Steele. These are Shoulder Hubs, Shoulder Hydraulics, Shoulder Buttons, Knurled Hose Fittings, Front and Rear Logic Display boxes.
They need to be sand and drilled before painting. They fit perfectly.

Ankle Details
Today I finished the Ankle Details, made them in styrene of the pdf downloaded from astromech.net. I used 3mm and 1mm styrene and filler for the little gaps. There were pretty easy and faster to make. I did the top squares a few days ago gluing 6 layers of 1mm styrene and sand them to obtain the curves on the sides.

Logic Bezels
Today I also received from Joymonkey the Logic Bezels, they are superb. I can't wait to start working on Logic Displays.
Second Booster Cover
Ok, today I decided to make the second Booster Cover, but this time I glued with the correct liquid and I finished really faster and easy. Despite I made one before, I made a little mistake when I cut the upper layer thinking that it was too wide, but when I glued all parts I realized that it was wider to fit all parts together (it can be seen in the inner medium part), but I will fix it later with filler before painting.

Coin Slot Strips
Today It's the turn for the Coin Slot Strips. I made it from the flat pack of 3mm styrene, but I had to draw the outlines in Illustrator because when I printed the pdf the scale wasn't right. Yesterday I got the Humbrol liquid glue so it was easier and faster using a needle than the previous glue. I put it in the skins and it looks pretty decent. I still have to put filler before painting.

Leg Struts
At the same time that I've been working on Booster Covers I started to build the Leg Struts. I bought PVC Pipes of 21mm diameter, cut it in 2 pieces, glued 1mm styrene around them to obtain the shapes and for thicker parts I glued 2 or 3 layers. To join the two pipes I bend a 0.5mm styrene strip to simulate a thinner pipe.
For the upper box I glued 9 squares of 3mm of styrene and for the circle I cut a 3mm of styrene as well. You will see how it will fit with the Booster Cover. A handcraft piece :-O

Booster Covers
I didn't post anything last week because I've been working on Booster Covers and it was little bit complicated and took me more time than expected. Anyway, I printed the Styrene plans, imported to Illustrator, draw outlines and printed out the first BC. I used 0.5mm, 1mm and 3mm styrene and Mc D's straws ;-).
